Keotag automatically generates tags – for Technorati, other search engines and social bookmarking sites

www.keotag.com is a Godsend for wordpress .com bloggers. This site will automatically generate all the tags you could wish for and even more! And that too in two easy steps!

First of all, you have to enter a word and in the second step choose Technorati or some other seacrh engine and the tag for that site will be automatically generated!

Same for social bookmarking sites also! You can automatically generate codes for blinklist, delicious, furl, yahoo, digg, rojo, shadows and netvous. Hmmm, not bad. But I can’t help wishing there were more options!
All you have to do is copy the HTML and paste it where you want it!

So I am sorry you people had to go thru’ the agony of the slightly more difficult version I did a while ago. What can I say, um, does “sorry” sound good enough? Oops, I guess I said it already, huh! :D

Updated after Lorelle’s comment on this post
Although inserting Technorati tags under each post might drive traffic away from your post, there is still a very good reason to do it. Simply put, it works both ways! That means, if someone searches for a keyword at Technorati, and if your article is listed there, more visitors can land on your blog from there! And putting those tags enables that! IMO, there’s no minus point in letting readers find something else somewhere else via your post, cos they have done visiting and hitting your post first – ah, stat stat stat! But when a reader does come to your post from somewhere else, that’s lovely!

  1. Pingback: The easiest way to have Technorati tags under each post for complete idiots (like me!) « Netty Gritty

  2. It does work both ways but not usually. Lorelle is correct in what she says. The both way traffic is more through websites such as Digg and Stumble Upon which advertise your posts. That means that if instead of putting up tags, you should put up a submit to Technorati button and that shall get you more hits.

Technorati is more like helping your readers in finding related information. It’s like going that extra mile to hope that readers shall never return unsatisfied once they’ve visited your website and that’s a good enough thing to do.
