Google calendars can be embedded in a wordpress.com blog.
The problem is, Google Calendar offers iframe codes that you have to put in a blog to embed the Google Calendar. Since iframe is restricted in wordpress.com blogs, embedding a Google Calendar in a wordpress.com blog is not a possibility. Bloggers have been adding the RSS feed of Google Calendars in a wordpress.com blog as an alternative.
But it lacks full functionality and totally misses the rich interactivity of Google Calendars.
Not good. Not pretty.
I have figured out how to embed a Google Calendar in a wordpress.com blog with full functionality.
See an example below. Just click the link below to enjoy the magic of Google Calendar right in a free wordpress.com blog!
Good to know
The Google Calendar you see above is possible via a workaround that makes iframe widgets work in wordpress.com.

I’m working on a master tutorial that will help my readers learn how to embed iframe widgets in a free wordpress.com blog. You will find the rest of the solution there.
Subscribe to this blog or get email updates from this blog to get notified as soon as I publish the much needed tutorial.
Dude, you rock! (Ok, maybe a little overstated, but this is good for all of us bloggers). Thank you for your work!
Thanks for your feedback. I will be glad if others find it useful too!
be grateful when the master tutorial is up and running…looking forward to trying it out!
But it’s up already! Please look carefully. The link at the bottom of the post will take you to the master tutorial.
i think i must have done something wrong – i created a flash code through tagul, then pull out the swf code for gigya, and placed that in my wordpress page. but then it embeds the cloud text, which you then have to click to get to the calendar. is there a way to embed the calendar directly without having to click on the could text?

You did it perfectly alright. That’s the best you can do at wordpress.com, add a link that later opens the calendar right in your wordpress.com blog.
I need the code! we need help!

Hi,
Please be more specific. Have been able to create a Google Calendar embed using Tagul? Where are you stuck?
