Comment policy

ireplyI love comments. :D

So don’t just read, write something!!

Only the first comment of a new visitor is moderated. So it might take a while for your first comment to show up. After that, you are granted the ulimited rights to free speech – you do know that with such great rights come even greater responsibility!

Actually I don’t moderate first time comments anymore! And if you haven’t noticed already, replying to commenters is my pride and joy. So it’s not like you will be talking to a wall!

Make comments on this blog generously!

Warning responsible commenting
I don’t promote libelous material or comments that display bad manners or anything of questionable nature. If you need to “break wind”, please go somewhere else. We appreciate clean air here. Also if a comment is way too off-topic it may be deleted.

Thanks for coming!

Also please note that you are most welcome to paste url’s in the comment box. Please be cautious though, if you paste more than one url’s, your comment will be considered spam by Akismet, the spam slayer that keeps wordpress blogs safe. And your comment will never “make it” here. And I am too lazy to check the Comment Moderation queue – these days they are mostly only spam.

So you see, comment boxes usually don’t bite! So go ahead, write something. They miss you!

  1. @anwar,

i assume u r talking about the “html slip” u r seeing and pointed in the post “about this blog”. actually, i have no idea what u r seeing. pls send a screenshot via email!

    thanks for ur help.

  2. @capri,

thanks for checking on me! gee, are we the only bloggers here interested in codes and how to show them? thanks to you, i don’t feel alone!

actually, about that text file, no, i haven’t figured it out yet. i got sidetracked. and this time i took a bite much too big. i want to upload stuff automatically in my blog like thefreedictionary does. and i am hunting for the code or something similar, so that i can use it for my own entries. somebody said it is done with php and er, ggd? i know nothing about the either of the two!

    thanks again for stopping by!

  3. Please would you advice on my problem. I would use akismet at zmicer.com, got the API key, still AKISMET plugin says it is not an appropriate one. Have you heard about the problems like that earlier?

  4. hum just an idea lol…create a IdeaBox..where everyone (if u are open to this of course) put their ideas..like..hey i want this on u blog cose it’s great and stuff..or hey can u write something about X subject ?…
Anyway…i leave u to this Netty ,keep up the good work :)

  5. ano,
    thanks for sharing!
actually i do have something similar already. only i am too lazy to put it in my blog! :D

i have a regularly updating post where i write about survey and poll services available for wordpress. as as example survey, i have created a “suggestions for Netty Gritty” kind of survey – actually, it consists only of a text area, where readers are supposed to put in ideas!

so, yep, i am quite open to participatory stuff! i do believe a blog thrives if it is participatory in nature!

  6. Thanks for pointing out a better way to work the addthis! button on my blog. I never even realised – I had written the code for the sidebar button before I started putting the code for bookmarking the blog post at the bottom of each post, so I wanted people to be able to bookmark individual posts using the sidebar. Now it makes more sense. I’ll also change the code on my other blog to make it work the same way. Have a super day!

  7. I’m a mom, a blogger, and a Ph.D. student, and I need your help. I’m doing a study about why women blog, and you have been selected at random to participate in a short survey about what motivates you to blog and what you get out of blogging.

I hope you will take it by clicking this link. Please do not forward the link. (If the link does not show up in your browser when you click on “clicking this link,” you can click here or copy and paste this link into your browser: http://www. surveygizmo.com/s/231228/women-bloggers

Thanks in advance for your help. Feel free to contact me at gmmasull @ syr.edu if you have any questions.
