ARE you running out of ideas? Do you need to think differently or poke your imagination? Here is an online tool – Idea Generator – that will help you generate new, exceptional and/or amusing ideas!

This “appliance” has three tabs that produce three random words. Nothing much, is that what I hear you saying? Well. three words are enough to help you visualize and conceptualize extraordinary things.

Some of my favourite combinations are:

1. ingenious invisible celebration (Cool, if a celebration is invisible, then you can buy invisible food with invisible money, eat and make merry with invisible friends. Any time you want to. That’s ingenious indeed!)
2. do-it-yourself collapsible hotel (yeah, right – so anytime I go out of town, I will just fetch it from my backpack and assemble a hotel!)
3. revolutionary neon opera (I guess the whole team is going to wear neon costumes and perform on a neon stage. Weird looking, oh….well…whatever!)

How to automatically “page jump” any website/blog

When we want to link to a specific section of a webpage without wanting the reader to scroll down to access the needed information you know just how to do page jump the HTML way.

But what if it is not YOUR blog/site? Then we have problem figuring out the needed anchor point. Well, fret no more!

http://www.purpleslurple.net/ps.php does it all magically. All you have to do is type (rather, paste) the url of the webpage that has the info. The site automatically generates purple numbers before each section. Now you have to choose the proper number that designates the needed section and click it.

Voila! The needed section appears on top! Now you simply have to copy the url from the address bar and paste it where you need to! When clicked, it will take the clicker to that particular section of the web page!

And to our convenience, the site even generates a link to the original web page on top.

I will give it an A for simplicity, convenience and ingenuinity.

Calling web developers – please develop an SMS voting system for bloggers at wordpress.com

If you can twitter from your cell phone, there must be a way you can vote for a blog via SMS. All you need is the brains of some coffee-drinking geeks, passion and a marketing system for this yet-to-happen great great promotional tool for bloggers.

Come to think of it, a cell phone is an indispensable item in today’s world. It is more accessible than internet. And SMS voting is a usual affair in today’s television world – American Idol being a well-known instance. So SMS voting for blogs can be a convenient and widely accessible blog promotion system.

So if you are a web developer get some coffee and get to work! And why do I want it for wordpress.com? Well, the reason is very simple. I am a wordpress.com blogger and I miss not being able to use certain services, say Blogrush or Bumpzee. It is time web developers give bloggers at wordpress.com first priority. Forget the rest of the blogging platforms! WordPress.com is THE blogging platform. If you are a web developer and don’t know why it is, you are too uncool and I am not interested in you!

As for the cool geeks out there, guess what, time is ticking. Now that this wonderful idea is up for grabs, you are up against a race against time. It is often just a unique idea that will make or break a project when the next big thing is just around the corner. So what are you waiting for! Go for it!
